ValamAi highlighted “Local application of engineered insulin-like growth factor I mRNA demonstrates regenerative therapeutic potential in vivo,” the peer-reviewed publication underpinning VMB-100, ValamAi's lead engineered IGF-I mRNA candidate. The preclinical data demonstrate accelerated functional recovery and tissue regeneration, supporting the ongoing clinical development of the program in stress urinary incontinence.
In a rat model of stress urinary incontinence, single injections of VMB-100 into the urinary sphincter muscle drove substantial muscle regeneration and dose-dependent improvement in leak point pressure, comparable to or exceeding an approved positive control. The publication, co-authored by members of ValamAi's Scientific Advisory Board, forms part of the scientific foundation supporting the company's FDA IND clearance for VMB-100.
ValamAi continues to build on this founding science as it advances VMB-100 toward a Phase IIa study in women with stress urinary incontinence, and explores indication expansion into disc herniation.
ValamAi Limited is a clinical-stage company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, focused on transforming RNA therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs. Its lead program, VMB-100, is an engineered IGF-I mRNA therapeutic in development for stress urinary incontinence and disc herniation, alongside a growing pipeline spanning dermatology and oncology.
