ValamAi Announces Grant of First Patent for “Signal Peptide With Heterologous Protein”

Press Release | Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 12, 2026

ValamAi Limited (“ValamAi”), a clinical-stage company focused on transforming RNA therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs, today announced the issuance of a Notice of Allowance for its first Composition of Matter patent covering its innovative signal peptide technology. This achievement represents a significant milestone in ValamAi's mission to advance RNA-based therapeutics and expand its intellectual property portfolio globally.

The granted patent covers signal peptide sequences that direct the secretion of heterologous (non-native) proteins encoded by ValamAi's engineered mRNA constructs, a core element of the technology underpinning the company's lead program, VMB-100, as well as its broader pipeline across urology, orthopedics, dermatology and oncology.

“This patent grant strengthens the intellectual property foundation of our platform as we advance multiple programs toward the clinic,” said a ValamAi spokesperson. “Protecting our signal peptide technology is an important step in building long-term value for patients, partners and investors.”
