He brings more than 18 years of pharma and biotech R&D experience to ValamAi's platform and pipeline strategy.

Prof. Metzger is Co-Founder & CSO of Versameb AG, Professor of Neurobiology at the University of Freiburg, and holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Tübingen. He has authored more than 100 publications with over 3,700 citations across his career in RNA therapeutics and IGF-1 biology.

“Friedrich's deep expertise in RNA therapeutics and his firsthand experience bringing Risdiplam from bench to approval make him an invaluable addition to our Scientific Advisory Board,” said a ValamAi spokesperson. “His guidance will be instrumental as we advance VMB-100 through clinical development and expand into new indications.”
